Happy New Cheer!

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Being that this year seemed to be a tough year for everyone overall, we thought a heartfelt gift of holiday cheer was in order. This sampler was produced completely in-house, right down to the craft brews! Matt, our in house brewmaster whipped up a batch of a HolIDAy BREW-HAHA and a cIDAr Full O’CHEER, while Michelle designed the promotional packaging.

Here’s a little info about our craft brews:

BREW-HAHA
Brewed with high-quality American malts and Belgian candy sugars, this dark holiday beer is balanced by aromatic Willamette and Cluster hops for a slightly sweet, warm and intense ale experience. We like to keep it interesting though, so with the addition of spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and fresh tangerine zest combined with natural hints of apple, clover honey and pear, this Holiday Brew-haha really envigorates your senses!

FULL O’CHEER
Sourced from a local Pennsylvanian apple orchard, this organic hard cider delivers a crisp and dry, champaigne-like experience that’s hard to beat! We’ve combined the essence and taste of warm fall apples with fresh vanilla and brown sugar to bring you a beverage that will surely bring in the new year in with a renewed sense of excitement and cheer!

We like to think we added some extra cheer to this holiday season.

Join or Die: Philly Reaches to its Past for Branding Ideas

Philly Union Logo

Meet the Union, Philadelphia’s new professional soccer team! Brand New has a special piece on the new branding Philly and the Silverman Group did for their upcoming entry into the MLS ranks - the 16th team to be added. I’m glad to see, as mentioned in the article, that the new soccer crest didn’t have a cliche approach like the Liberty Bell, Rocky, or (ugh) a chesesteak. Instead they took the smart road and steeped it in history and meaning - a great exercise in giving a brand meaning and a direction to focus future design towards. Go Union!
